A quiet village with no through traffic, a large garden running down to the reeds and the water of the Peenestrom just behind it. And if you do want the sea: the beach is eight minutes away, the island of Usedom a quarter of an hour.

Room for everyone, without anyone squeezing up
95 square metres on one level: three bedrooms, two bathrooms and a large living room with an open kitchen. Six guests sleep in the bedrooms, two more on the sofa bed in the living room.
Two bathrooms are the reason two families can holiday here without friction. And because everything is on the ground floor, nobody carries a suitcase or a pram up any stairs.
The garden runs down to the water
The terrace faces north, towards the water, and has a large dining table and the barbecue. Behind it the meadow stretches to the reed belt, and behind that the Peenestrom begins.
Facing north means no blazing midday sun on the dinner table, and the view still goes to the water. If you want sun, it is a few steps into the garden.
Part of the terrace is covered by the balcony above, so you stay dry there in the rain.
The neighbour's horses graze on part of the grounds at times. Children usually end up at the fence. If you like, you can ask her about a riding lesson.
Garden and terrace are shared with the second holiday apartment in the house. There is plenty of room.
Four bicycles waiting in the garage
One of them for children. The land is flat, the lanes are quiet, and both the marina at Kröslin and the beach at Freest are an easy ride away.
Also included: washing machine and dryer, the barbecue on the terrace, Wi-Fi throughout and parking right at the house.
The bicycles are shared with the second holiday apartment. We do not provide locks or helmets.
Everything in one place
A tablet in the hallway shows the floor plan of the apartment. One tap and the lights go on or off, the roller blinds go up or down. Next to it you will find the Wi-Fi password as a QR code and our checked tips for the area.
The floor plan also answers the first question anyone asks in an unfamiliar place: where is what.
If you prefer switches, use switches. They are all there.
You arrive when you arrive
The front door has a keypad. You receive your code by e-mail before you travel. Nobody has to wait for us, and we do not have to catch anybody.
That matters most when the journey takes longer than planned: traffic near Berlin, the bascule bridge at Wolgast open, a late train. You simply pull up and walk in.
We set a new code for every stay. It stops working after you leave. A conventional key is waiting inside as well.
What is nearby
Beach in 8 minutes
Freest is the nearest bathing beach, small and quiet. Lubmin has the broad sandy beach with its pier after 20 minutes.
Marina in 5 minutes
Kröslin marina with several restaurants, boat hire and a small shop where bread is baked several times a day.
Usedom in 15 minutes
Over the bridge at Wolgast you are on the island in a quarter of an hour. The Peenemünde museum and Karls adventure village lie about as far again.
In winter the place is almost yours alone
Between November and March there is hardly anyone about. In cold winters the Peenestrom freezes over and the beach lies empty. Inside, the underfloor heating runs; outside, a walk in an easterly wind clears your head.
The rates are different then, too. If you are after quiet rather than beach weather, the low season is the better deal.
